Shepparton United's Jack Norman shows his excitement on winning last year's under-18 grand final. His side is one-game away from vying for back-to-back flags.

Shepparton United is one win away from claiming back-to-back under-18 premierships.

The Demons prevailed against Shepparton by 39 points in Saturday’s Goulburn Valley League second semi-final at Rochester.

The Bears went with the reigning premiers early, but United’s six goals to two in the second half was enough to win 12.13 (85) to 7.4 (46).

United broke a 32-year drought in last year’s grand final after losing 10 deciders since the previous under-18 premiership in 1984.

Jack Caia, Liam Schreck, Aaron Britten, Joel Serra, Adam Pigatto and Kyle Orchard led the way for the Demons, while Josh Kezerle and Jack Norman slotted three goals each.

In Sunday’s first semi-final, Kyabram was far too strong for Rochester, winning by 60 points at Euroa’s Memorial Oval.

The Bombers raced out of the blocks and were home by half-time, eventually winning 13.12 (90) to 4.6 (30).

Nicholas Darling, Will McDonell (four goals), Coby McCarthy, Billy McLay and Josh Dillon starred for the Bombers, while Cody Toohill, Harrison McPhee, Bailey Wileman, Matthew Kellett and Charles Ward stood out for Rochester.

Kyabram will take on Shepparton at Deakin Reserve on Sunday in the preliminary final at 10am.
